DeAisha Brown

2025-2026 Post-Secondary Fellow

DeAisha Brown is a higher education professional with nearly a decade of experience, currently serving as Assistant Director in the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid at North Carolina State University. She has held admissions and financial aid roles within enrollment management at a wide range of institutions across North Carolina, Georgia, and South Carolina. Her professional background spans community colleges and four-year universities, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs), public and private colleges, faith-based institutions, and schools with liberal arts and STEM-focused missions.

As a military child, DeAisha brings a perspective shaped by transition, adaptability, and navigating unfamiliar systems. That lens informs her approach to supporting students from historically underrepresented communities, those navigating higher education for the first time, individuals returning to college after time away, and students who are out of state or international. At the heart of her work is a belief that higher education should be transparent and fair, enable students to pursue college with little to no debt, and prepare them for life beyond the classroom.

DeAisha holds an Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies with a concentration in Human Resources from Johnson & Wales University–Charlotte. She earned her Master of Business Administration from Augusta University and her Master of Education in Higher Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

DeAisha is committed to collaborating with leaders across North Carolina and contributing to public conversations that strengthen inclusive, sustainable pathways to college and career success across the state.
